you just need to get the guy in a boat so you know where he's gonna aim, name tag him so he doesn't despawn, get three or more layers of snow since they melt, and a block so just place the block in front of him and place about two or three layers of snow so he still sees and shoots you but the arrows don't hit. Of course, only in java because they wanted bedrock to be the worst creation ever.
