This particular castle has been sold to a new owner who is currently renovating the premises. If you by any chance know the location of the castle please don't try to enter it because this is punishable under French law with a fine of 15000 Euro and or one year of imprisonment. The castle is NOT abandoned anymore!

Documenting historic abandoned treasures is not for the faint of heart, reaching this particular place took us on a journey through a dense forest in the south of France, a journey of multiple hours through difficult to navigate terrain, this combined with no way of telling in which part of the forest we found ourselves made it a very challenging endeavor.

Eventually, we made our way out of the forest and we were rewarded with the first glips of lost beauty, a fairytale-like castle build for a rich French family just post World War One.

The family had a long-lasting history in the noble sport of Horse racing and build this place in dedication to the sport. Many prestigious horse racing events have take place on the ground of the castle in the last century, but every great story has its ending, the family got into financial trouble and had to sell the castle. When the castle got sold it got a new life and was transformed into a reputable hotel.

This was however until the year 2003 when for no apparent reason everything got left behind and nobody seemed to care about this historic beauty anymore.

Now almost 2 decades later the castle still remains in its desolated state and is slowly withering away.

Our journey today will take us inside the walls of this once magical place and we will show you it’s forgotten remains.

Come on ppl! He's young and still learning. If he makes a mistake about something, don't be a jerk, just educate! I'm sure he shuts the windows and doors as much love and admiration he demonstrates in his explores.

Everything in this castle is just beautiful! Of course my favorite was the tower room. I am a big fan of stairways and passageways! I don’t know how you can keep from crying sometimes after going through these beautiful places, and knowing that they are just going to be reclaimed by nature eventually. I get caught between happiness and seeing something so beautiful, and sadness and knowing it is going to waste. Another wonderful explore! Take care and many blessings.

I wish you would close the windows when you visit these abondoned castles. The moisture, wind and animals that enter through open windows and doors are very damaging! This is a beautiful castle...so Happy someone has bought it!!

Thank God somebody bought it. It would be simply shameless to let it fall further into decay. It's beautiful, and has great potential. The furniture is exquisite. Glad to hear in the remarks that it is being renovated.

Three of us were watching this together and when you showed the locked up door to the basement, all 3 of us said at the same time, "that's where the bodies are hidden". I guess we read too many mysteries. Love your videos. You show such respect for the places you explore. I would love to have enough money to buy that and restore it.

I'm fairly new to your channel and am so glad I found it. I love the respect that you show both to the buildings and content but also to the histories of the people that lived there. Thank you for bringing these properties to light and giving them a voice!

Those antiques are unique and beautiful, such a shame. Someone would love to restore this place! Never understand why they sit and rot.Great video!

Do you shut the windows and doors you find open? I would hope you do to help save the house a little longer.

Love these videos. They really makes you think. Whats the point of our lives? What we leave, will eventualy dissapear. How we lived, what we loved, what we collected, all the things we did, claimed by time. Nobody will remember. Like tears in the rain, forever gone.

The furniture is so stunning! The glass cabinet with the gold horse crest…the painted and sculpted armoires..just wow. If I had just one of those pieces, I’d cherish it and display it prominently…crazy this is old junk to someone.

This is definitely my favorite castle you’ve explored. The castle and furnishings are still in great shape. The entrance is breathtaking! Thanks for your work.

The "crest" that you keep seeing in all of these castles is the Fleur De Lis / Fleur De Lys - French Monarchs adopted the symbol (it actually dates back to at least 7th century B.C. - so no one actually knows it's original meaning). Hopefully the new owners appreciate the antiques and the architecture - even with all the mold they have to contend with! This was beautiful, thank you for sharing it.

This is by far one of my MOST FAVORITE CASTLE'S you have covered Bro, I really wish I could afford to donate to your channel because every vid has been such a treat and adventure!!. For some Americans like myself who have always wanted to travel abroad to all the beautiful countries (especially France) that you go to on your show, it's almost like actually being there!!! So thank you so much for what you do, and keep enjoying the exciting adventures to come👍❤😎
