How about that mighty Rolls-Royce RB211-535E4 engine … awesome. Looks like they’re preparing to conduct an internal borescope inspection of the engine. Fun fact: This engine was the first commercial turbofan in service to feature a wide chord hollow Titanium fan blade. The fan design was so successful that a scaled up version helped transform the updated RB211 engines used on the B767 and B747!

The shear power of these Jet engines is crazy.

Jet engines work by sucking in cold air from the front and then heating it up to about 4000 degree's Celsius, after that it is pushed out the back at an incredibly high pressure to give the airplane enough power thrust to push the airplane forward and then eventually take off.

They also have reverse thrust to help slow the airplane down once it has landed safely to reduce wear & tear on the brakes.

Very clever design & also very effective as well.

Rolls Royce is one of the main Jet Engine manufacturers in the world.

It's the same company that make the very luxury cars as well.

Airplanes have always fascinated me.
