Yeah sorry Lex but those politicians are usually lawyers or bankers or successful businessmen who create the laws that allow billionaires to exists. They in turn donate to the crooked politicians.
You should get a couple economists on there with different points of view and elevate the level of conversation around that topic.

It's kinda interesting to contrast billionaires like Bezos and billionaires like Taylor Swift.

Although in a sense, both get there by giving large masses of people what they want (unless they can serve an entity like the government which in turn serves many)

People don't understand the Bezos' style billionaire. But I wonder what they feel about "Well, Taylor Swift's songs made people happy, and she got paid for endorsing brands, and she came up with products that people liked because they wanted to buy her stuff - and she made money from that"...

Politicians are NOT truth-seeking people, they are social-approvement-seeking people, that's the difference. Billionaires are closer to the truth-seeking concept than politicians.

I agree with this concept of supporting the idea of billionaires. And I also agree that it's a controversial concept. But big projects require big ideas congruent with big money. However, I want big innovative projects not big labor projects like the Great Wall of China or Mount Rushmore.
