This New Exotic is Awesome

This new exotic is awesome. Lodestar is the only primary ammo trace rifle. This shoots in a burst just like pulse rifles when you aim down sights and it shoots like a normal trace rifle when you hipefire it. As you deal damage and get kills with it, it will build up charge. Once it’s full you can hold reload to overcharge the hipfire mode, making it apply jolt to anything you hit. So this will help you clear small enemies, it will activate certain abilities in your subclass and artifact, and it can be used to inherently stun overload champions. And because this is a trace rifle, you can pair it with cenotaph mask on warlock to automatically reload it over time so you very rarely have to reload and it can mark yellow bar enemies to spawn heavy ammo for your team just by using your PRIMARY WEAPON.

I already discovered that quickly turning off the arc alignment shortly after activating it to apply the jolt is extremely useful as it helps save the alt fire for certain situations, and making it possible to literally never reload

fun fact: when you obliterated by lodestar, it appears that a pulse rifle killed you, not a trace rifle

First time I saw this Exotic I thought “oh great another trace rifle” then I saw it fired primary ammo and I smiled

It also does more damage to arc debuffed targets and makes a blinding explosion on kill if you aim down sights. It's all on the mag of the gun

Btw the ads burst fire does more damage to targets that are jolted so you can hipfire to prime then dps with ads

2 things I have to say about lodestar
1. The special reload only works with hip fire, not ADS
2. Crucible kills with lodestar appears as a pulse rifle logo and not a trace rifle kill in the kill feed

You can also run eternal warrior on titan (hear me out) since a bunch of titan exotics got damage buffs exclusive to certain elements, eternal warrior gives you an arc damage buff up to 4 times for just getting final blows with arc damage, combine this with the jolt affect with your grenade or the special firing mode, and youll be doing decent damage with just a primary
