Exploring The Hidden Secrets of Seychelles

Показать описание
Welcome to Mahé Island, the most famous and also the main island of Seychelles. We rented a car as this is the best way to explore the Seychelles and we are ready to go for a little road trip around the island.
To have a better understanding of the Island, we started by climbing Morne Blanc, the highest point on Mahé Island. It was very humid but hike was beautiful and made me feel like I was in Jurassic Park. The view at the top was a little cloudy but still very worth it. We suggest you wait a little bit later in the day to do it as most morning are cloudy on the island.
Now, this is when the true adventure started! One of the most famous thing to do in Mahe Island is to visit the rock pool. A stunning natural formation caused by the erosion from the Indian Ocean into the rocks on the edge of the sea. The tricky part is to actually find the Ros Sodyer rock pool. Apart from the signage at the beginning of the trail and the broken sign upon arrival to the rock pool, there is NOTHING in-between! Thankfully, we met another lost couple and after close to 2 hours of walking in a circle, we found the Ros Sodyer Rock Pool and it was stunning! Don`t make the same mistake as we did and try to visit during low tied to you can actually enjoy it without massive waves coming in.
After a well needed shower at our Ocean View Apartment, we heading down to the Boat House restaurant for a very nice local food buffet with a view of the sunset. A bit expensive but a very nice place to enjoy a relaxing evening in the Beau Vallon area of the Seychelles.
The next morning, we woke up to dolphins just just outside our apartment which was super cool before heading to Victoria which is the capital city of the Seychelles for breakfast and a little exploring walk.
During a warm Seychellois afternoon, there is nothing better then a refreshing drink at the Takamaka Distillery. You can even get a tour for free which is pretty interesting as well.
And finally, to end our trip to the most beautiful place on earth, we went for a last swim in the ocean at Anse Intendance Beach before being told that our flight was cancelled... Oh well!
