Why I sold my 'Grail Watch'

Why sell such a lovely and hard to get watch? Why move on from such a stunner from one of the 'Big Three' brands?

I say, why not? I've enjoyed my experience and now it is time for more :)

"I will never use the term grail again, well I probably will" Bruce Williams

This video hurts me deeply. VC Overseas is such a beautiful piece.

That’s the reason why ADs are becoming more and more picky in terms of customers. It’s full of people who buy watches with no love for the brand whatsoever and then just resell them probably with a profit. I was so excited after your review, I really thought you were a true and passionate watch lover. Very disappointing.

Let's be honest, he fooled all of us. He bought the watch to flip. There's a lot of people like him and is part of the reason so many watches are not available these days with crazy aftermarket prices. It was only a few years ago you could go walk into an AD and pick up a Daytona. Just disappointing how vain society has become.

no one flips their “grail”. it was not your grail!

Depression is no joke, and buying watches is no solution

I bet there was someone else waiting for the watch to arrive at that Vegas AD who would have happily held onto the watch for a long time and not publicly embarrassed the AD.

Bruce is going to collect regret experiences, too!
The black three-hand Overseas, is my ultimate grail.

It's because "having things" can't make you happy. The eternal pursuit of fulfillment through consumerism will never end - because there is no gold at the end of the rainbow. One must find peace and fulfillment in spiritual truths, because you'll never ever find it in the physical.

Translation: you need to keep cranking out more videos to keep your channel going, and you've decided that you've wrung as much content from the Overseas as you're going to. Also selling the watch and using the proceeds to buy other watches will provide more video fodder. To each their own, but I understand that you jumped the line at the dealer where you bought the Overseas, in front of people with more of a purchase history who would have kept the watch. And given the increase in popularity of the watch and Vacheron's move to a boutique-only distributionfor that particular model, some of the people who have been waiting may not be able to get the watch from that dealer at all. All of this to say that you've burned some bridges in certain corners, which if you continue to do so, will impact your viewership in the long run. I for one am unsubscribing and hiding your channel from my feed.

You're a mad man! I'd have sold that Hulk 10x over before selling the Overseas.

I wouldn’t have been surprised if it was any other watch, but this is your grail! You’re not supposed to sell it only a few months after buying it 😂

The real lesson here?

Learn how to be content and be happy of what you have....

You bought it, churned as much content as you can, sold it for profit. That’s %100 fine but at least be upfront about it.

I thought you were a collector. You are just another flipper looking to make a few bux. What a disappointment.

I’ll only be convinced you truly collect watch experiences if you sell that Hulk. Then I know you mean business

Real reason = Cant afford to keep it is the real reason... This often happens - people realise they can't really afford to keep items such like this.
