Minecraft Automatic Trash Can! This is a quick video on howto do it! If this video helped you out maybe leave a like, it helps me out a lot. If you enjoyed this and want to hear more from me then consider subscribing and sticking around for more! Thank you for watching and as always haaaave a good one!

P.s. If you are finding that it's not working then make sure there isn't anything in your dispenser. If you put something in there before the redstone circuit is complete it will most likely lock the items in your dispenser. Just take them out and make your circuit again and you should be good to go!

This works a lot better with a trapped chest, than with a normal chest, with a normal chest, when you put something it is eliminated, with a trapped chest, it is eliminated when you close it, this prevents accidentally deleting items you want.

Tip: Instead of using a dispenser, use a dropper so it you put water, lava, arrows, etc they will still get dropped instead of despensed

tip use a TRAP CHEST so the items are only dropped when the chest is closed giving you time to confirm and not throw your gear accidentally

As of March 2022 works great on Windows 10 Bedrock Server. I needed an easy way to get rid of all of those golden swords everyone was leaving behind backing up the sorting system from my gold farm. Straight to the point tutorial. Thanks!!!

Absolutely love this! I have WAY too many eggs and don't even use them. It has mucked up my auto farming system. Thank you soooo much for this trash can, now I am egg free! 😁

Great design! It's pretty satisfying watching all the trash get chucked into lava.

This is sooo much simpler than my method. I have a deep one block wide hole with a dispenser pointed down at the top and one lava square at the bottom. Beside the dispenser is two redstone repeaters facing horizontally opposite eachother, with 4 redstone connecting them in a circuit, with this connected with redstone to the dispenser. I place a redstone torch beside a redstone to turn it all on, break the torch, then i destroy one redstone and immediately replace it with a redstone, causing the whole setup to indefinitely turn on and off, throwing anything i have in the dispenser into the lava below. You have to break a redstone to turn it off, otherwise it wont stop clicking after its empty.

Took me forever to figure out how to do, and your method is soooo much simpler. Thank you

Thanks for the tutorial man! Also I agree with people saying use a dropper not a despenser. However there is no accidental item recovery system if you put something important in there on accident. If you place a lever on the ground next to the hopper it locks the hopper when activated making it safe. Then you could also have a red stone lamp connected to the lever so it's like a garbage disposal. Light on, trash gone. Light off, loot safe.

Just made this in 1.21.3 java - playing in bedrock via geyser. Worked great. Put into a new build before putting up walls (much easier) ... and then went back to my existing house and put it in there. For whatever reason, it was kicking the trash to the block beyond the lava... so added another block of lava. Problem solved. Thanks so much ...

My little brother really wanted me to make something like this because he says I’m good at red stone. I’ve never made one of these so I had to look it up. I think he’ll be glad that his skeleton spawned isn’t stacked up with half used bows now :)

Thank you for this information. I did struggle to get it going, but once I figured it out from other sources it worked great! The primary issue I ran into is the hopper wasn’t leading into the dropper because you couldn’t place it on top of the dropper directly, so it wasn’t sending items into it. What I found resolved the issue was I had to lay the hopper on top of dirt first to force it to point down. Afterwards I removed the dirt block to replace it with the dropped. Also, before placing lava it is best to confirm that everything is functioning first before placing lava.

Awesome machine to have. I hooked it up to a gold farm to get rid of the rotten flesh (being I have 6 double chests 🤣) now it’s just straight gold and XP baby 🤘🏾
