2023 Moto Razr+ Review

For 2023 Moto brings some serious folding phone competition to Samsung’s doorstep with the Moto Razr+ (also called the Moto Razr 40 Ultra). The Razer Plus boasts a very usable external 3.6” screen that can run full Android apps, not just widgets, and acts as a viewfinder for your photo subjects. It has no-gap design when closed, a 6.9” FHD+ OLED folding internal display, sub6 5G, Android 13 with 3 years of OS and 4 years of security updates and is IP52 water and dust resistant. It’s perhaps the most delightful folding phone yet, and it competes with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5.

Hello. I just received my Razr ± this past weekend. One thing to mention is in the US, the base phone comes with 256 Gig, and the Flip 4 & 5 come with 128 Gig. If you have a lot of music to put on your phone, the extra storage is really nice. One thing the new Razr doesn't give you is the ability to close all your open screens at once, unless I've missed something with that. So far, I'm really happy with this new Razr!

I just bought one of these unlocked from Motorola. I am so excited for it to come. I really need a phone I can use that’s versatile like this. Especially because I have metal in my hand and will more than likely use the phone closed more than open. I tried the 2019 Razr and liked it, but this is supposedly suppose to blow that off the map. I received my Razr Plus yesterday, June 28th. Really want to love this version as the flip style implementations is preferred compared to a brick style smart phone. So far battery life is good to great. I am a moderate user and find much of the use to be snappy. I have noted that at times my transition between apps and scrolling to be somewhat jerky and not as smooth and polished as I have come to expect. I will put this through the paces to see if this is right for me. Thank you for the good review. I look forward to a follow up review for the Razr Plus.

I purchased the Z Flip 4 last August. This last June the screen seperated like you indicated from the hinge area. It's been difficult getting it fixed. I hope this design lasts. I appreciate your reviews!

Mine gets super hot when using android auto. Also, it is receiving LTE when my iPhone 14 pro is at 5g in some rural areas. The cameras are middle of the road.
