While I don't travel much anymore, when I did, I didn't buy souvenener unless I saw something small, like a pair of earrings, that I really loved. What I did instead was bring a sketch book to take down quick impressions, both drawings and notes. I'm not an artist so these were mostly quick gesture drawings with descriptive notes. Most weren't very good but that wasn't the point - it was more to force myself to slow down and really see and imprint the experience in my brain. I can still flip though those and bring back those moments with a clarity that would never happen if I just looked at a photo I took or a knickknack that I'd purchased...hugs from Chicago, USA.

Donate all household Items and clothing (children's too) to a local women's shelter. Call them first to see what they take. A lot of these women can use these items after they leave the home and get a place of their own.

I live in Colorado ( USA) . There is a trend for local take away restaurants to use composable containers including cups, straws. 😊👍

Hei, try leftover coffee with some milk or coconut oil as a natural scrub, it gives the same affect and cost effective😘

I love this Lady, she needs her own TV series. They put so much crap on tv, and toxic reality shows now. But this woman here is what we need now. She's a jem!

I stopped doing or buying these things one or two decades ago, depending on what it is. Gradually, and it was very easy. Being kind to the environment brings me a lot of joy! Also like my parents and grandparents I've always used traditional handkerchiefs, fabric table cloths and napkins - not paper. I use a wooden brush to wash the dishes, and I prefer real olive oil soap to industrial liquid soap. We reuse all the glass jars we get, not only in the kitchen but also to organise crafts and hobby items, painting brushes and pens. I never use colour catchers and replaced softener with white vinegar in my washing-machine almost 20 years ago. I cut my own hair and have always been very happy with the results. But I know there are still more things that I can do.

Hola Frederique,
Nice video ❤!!
My family and I went "zero waste" a few years ago and changed a lot of things. For example the razor, I have bought a very traditional one and change only the blades. Instead of washing powder I use the "ecoegg" laundry egg which is good for the environment and saves a lot of money.
Another thing for example is, that for wrapping vegetables or produce I changed to wax wraps.
These are only a few of the lot of things we have been changing. Also we use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins. This saves a lot of money in a year, too!
Regarding the vinegar instead of fabric softener, I often also put some drops of essential oils in the compartment of the washing machine drawer.
There are so many things we can stop buying, which helps to improve our economy and the environment...
We reuse also the glas jars to store other products.
Also we make our own homemade vegetable stock, for that I store a frezzing bag with (clean) vegetable trimmings in the freezer and when it is full (which is very quick, as I am 98% plant-based) I prepare vegetable stock.
I hope some of these ideas can be helpful for you.
Besos desde España, Sonia

Frederique, I'm going to try vinegar instead of fabric conditioner. Thank you for the tip. 💕💕

You can use dryer balls instead of fabric softener. To avoid static cling, dry natural fibers separate from synthetic fibers.

Hi my lovely Frederique! In spanish we have a saying, "lo barato sale caro" translated means, what is cheap will end up expensive...You will constantly be replacing it! So buy quality! Im about quality a must and cheap no more! Jeejeejee 😁😜

I cut carrots into batons, cover them with water in a lidded container & they stay fresh for over a week in the fridge. Works great with celery too!

Donate your old CDs/DVDs to a local library, homeless shelter, or old care home. They love them. And books, if you have any to let go of. Thanks as always for such great content. <3
