wow! I had no idea! We store rain in barrels, but we use the hose sometimes for convenience.
Going to use the rain barrels more often now

Rain water collection is my next big project. Already have a barrel, but going to get some IBC totes. It's so sad there was a recent news story that got very little coverage on how PFAS (from teflon manufacturing) have contaminated all rain water on the planet--and the obvious unstated implications that has for ground/all water.

I work in a greenhouse. For many issues our first go to is rain water. It’s amazing how vastly different it is than any other water found on earth. ❤

I live in southeastern AZ, my plants loved the rain this winter. I managed to have a parsley plant survive 6 months without any supplemental water. Here's hoping we get a lot of rain with the monsoon season. I'll be able to plant my fall/winter garden with the rain. Lots of supplemental water until then, mostly using ollas. I'm trying out 3 desert adapted tomato baiting and 1 heat/ humidity tolerant variety. Here's hoping we get enough rain to actually be humid... without it being 115 degrees plus humidity/ real feel temp
