When do you think the Nintendo Switch eShop will close? What year?

Never realised that the eShop front pages are different regionally, here in Australia the front page seems more organised and has more emphasis on indies. No mentions of the Switch too.

Im really sad since the Wii U Eshop is closing. I remember playing with my Wii U and now i ts Eshop is closing and thats sad for me and whats even sadder for me is that I cant even explore the Eshop since I lost my gamepad I know you can homebrew but im still sad that the fact nintendo dont care about the 3DS and the Wii U since after that It shown what people TRULY wanted so they made the switch. I DIDNT EVEN GET TO EXPLORE IT and come on and now it's gone. the wii u eshop is better than the nintendo switch eshop and I feel like nintendo is making a new console after Pikmin 4 and the legend of Zelda tears of the kingdom so in 2024 they will make a new console but im still heartbroken that it closed. but everything goes to an end dosent it? I am not ready to say goodbye to the Wii U eshop but even though you have to the wii u eshop and as well for the 3DS will still remain in our hearts

The Wii U and 3DS eShops have officially closed as of today. My childhood was playing Wii U, Wii, 3DS, and more. It's sad it has to go... I hope Nintendo will start recognizing more Wii U, and 3DS games for Sequels, Remasters, and other stuff, because there is more besides there 1st party games.

Watching this 2023, the day before it closes or maybe at this point it closed an hour ago now.

I will say that the Wii U, while a failure it has so much charm that the Switch doesn’t and the Switch does have good games and that’s obvious but the 3DS and Wii U era gave me so many good memories and thinking about it, I can think about more times playing 3DS/Wii U games than switch games. I mainly remember more memories from 2017/2018 with the Switch.

Here’s to hoping the next console will have that Nintendo Charm again with a fun layout, more music and a not so laggy eshop

Man it’s a shame the Wii U and 3DS e shops are closed. It has pushed me to buy quite a bit more physical games for them though and it has been fun hunting for them so far! Currently looking for a complete copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X but haven’t found one yet

Well there is an on going series called Silver Falls. A told of 6-8 games on the 3DS, Wii U, and Switch. Created by 1 person (expect some errors) is amazing series with each game with its own unique playing style. You like Game Boy color? Got you Silver Falls Galaxy Bound Curse (GBC), you like adventure? We got you Silver Falls 3 Down Stars (3DS), you like old school atari stlye? We got you Silver Falls Undertakers. You like first person horror/ light gun mode? We got you Silver Falls White inside it's Umbra (W.I.I.U). This is a small portion of great games to pick up ASAP!! also Newly developed 2 in 1 games Silver Falls Gaiden DDD

Wii U was good times, it’s a shame it was held back so much by its own hardware. It’ll probably fade into obscurity compared to other Nintendo consoles, but I’ll always love it for my virtual console and Eshop titles. Between my WiiU and Wii I can play every single 3D Legend of Zelda, couldn’t ask for more. Thanks Nintendo.
