Deadly Russian shelling in Zaporizhzhia Leads Rescue Operations Underway After

Rescue operations are underway in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia after Russian artillery hit a residential area, killing at least one person. NBC News’ Erin McLaughlin reports from Kharkiv.

Air defense missiles. And there are a number of reasons for that.
1) the missiles were still from the USSR, all the expiration dates on them have long passed
2) the launchers are placed in cities, with any non-standard launch, the rocket falls in the city
3) the air defense radars are not kept switched on constantly so as not to be substituted. They turn on the signal from the NATO planes, because the launch takes place after, late. The anti-aircraft missile is trying to catch up with the target along the shortest path and simply does not see such a "trifle" as high-rise buildings on its way.

Russia lost the propaganda war when Zelenskyy decided to stay. They lost the lightning war when they had to withdraw from the Kyiv front. They lost the political war when Finland and Sweden started talking about joining NATO. They lost the economic war when they failed to break European resolve before the Spring thaws. They lost the attritional war when Ukraine began its counter offensives. Now they’re losing the maneuver war as Ukraine continues to carve chunks of land away from their grubby hands.

They’ve done nothing *but* lose. You’d think they’d get tired of that by now.

Not to minimize the actual shelling of the Zaporizhzhia NPP but it's 35 miles outside of the city itself, these attacks were nowhere near it
