This is the real deal folks, as a Ferrari fan this car was so special to see. This car is valued at tens of millions of dollars (25mil.+) To see it driven on the streets was quite a sight. This is car 4091GT which started life as the 'more common' series-1 body style 250 GTO later re-bodied to the series-2 body style you see here. Be sure to watch 'til the end to heard the glorious acceleration!

This is actually a 62 rebodied into a 64 GTO (chassis number 4091GT) which is owned by Peter Sachs (since 1981). Gorgeous car !

Then again, the old ones have no restrictions as far as smog and sound like the new ones do. They also do not make nearly as much power, and have much more open intake and exhaust systems.

Kudos to this guy for driving it to the show rather than bringing it in on a trailer. If i had a beauty like this, it for sure wouldn't be sitting in my garage gathering dust. I would drive it at least a few times a year.

Thanks for the comments! I think it's just a body revision, essentially an 'update.' I still prefer the series-1 body style myself. I think the update was because of the 250 LM introduced in '63, they both have that weird long body.

This month a 1963 GTO was sold for $52 million. Incredible!

Google series-1 250 GTO, and then series-2. They are different body styles of the same car. The one in the video is the later version and only 7 exist. Value is in the description.

@lolle18 Your right! Sort of, this is a 1962. 250 GTO 4091GT. Which started life as a Series-1 GTO, then was later re-bodied to a series-2 style that you see here. I will update the video description.

No need to apologize my friend, I appreciate your comments. The car is not mine.

Yes, the new body on this one looks a lot like that of the 250 Le Mans. Was the bodywork done by Pininfarina? Few cars can match the sound of these early Ferraris--nice video--wish I could have been there!

@RAIDwarDEN It's not about the speed, or the looks even though it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made. People see it as a museum, not a car. It's all about the engineering, the noise, the rarity, and the adrenaline that is pumped into the system from driving one of these machines.

love the revised body shape of the later gtos, but i prefer the unusual shape of the earlier TR's than the later revised more "safer" styling.
