I just bought a 2021 XL, yesterday with 10 hours on it and noticed one of the steering controls being loose. Looked up under and found the damper unthreaded. I pulled it off and the other side off without taking anything apart. Just reach a small flathead in and pop up the spring band and pull the damper out. I also found the opposite side damper just starting to thread off. Loc-Tite is a must here.

I have a hustler raptor SD, with a 54-in deck. My right control arm is stiff. When you put it in reverse and then push it forward, it is extremely stiff and it needs quite a bit of effort to push it forward. Could this be the damper going bad. You mentioned the word sloppy in your video, so I was just concerned if this would also fix that problem. Great video, learned a lot.

I still got my Husqvarna 22V46 Lawn Tractor Dennis. The Only issue I have now is a sloppy steering rod. The one that goes from the steering wheel on down. I can move the steering wheel back and forth, side to side about a 1/4" or so. Looked through my parts list and it doesn't seem to have the Bushing needed to correct it and make it not move anymore. Am thinking about looking through some plumbing at Home Depot. I could get lucky. Thanks again for your videos Dennis. Happy Independence Day, what's left of it.

Are these dampners necessary? Mine had damners and did not automatically return to neutral.
I removed dampners and made it to auto return to neutral. To me its 10x better. But was wondering why this is. Do they all have dampners and no return to neutral?

Just did mine under warranty but it shouldn’t have failed at 60 hours.
The p/u and delivery fee was a bummer
