Yes the Divine Comedy Dante's Inferno I was obsessed in high school such a brilliant written poem about a man getting fucked over by life and everyone around him but on a serious note it taught me that evil can come in many shapes and forms but Betrayal is the one that cuts the deepest because who can you trust if not yourself?

I don't necessarily disagree. Betrayal is disgusting, it may very well be the worst.
Everyone speaks of the psychopath who murders for pleasure. Such a creature is scary, yes... but not a tragedy.
I can wrap my head around a psychopath.
I don't want to wrap my head around someone fallen.
I want to look away from the horror.
There's a story I don't want to know.

Dante wrote his Divine Comedy shortly after the change of the last millennium, an auspicious time in which a society of sinners would certainly be punished. After the change of this millennium, are we to expect another round of revelations of the paranormal world in which, again, god's foot will be put in god's mouth? Be simple. Be honest.
