Can the GTX 1050ti keep up in 2024?
I have 12 games to benchmark here. All of these games will be tested in 1080p and 1440p, with cost and overall comparisons given at the end. I will compare 1080p v 1440p on the GTX 1050ti.
Please note that ALL games were run on the lowest preset as it is unrealistic for the 1050ti to run on higher graphics settings.

*CORRECTION 1 0:16 - The Powersupply is 750w* not 720.
*CORRECTION 2 0:34 - FSR* is Off as DLSS is not 'officially available' and literally all of the graphs say DLSS sorry :')

I bought the 1050 Ti in 2017 for around 200 bucks. You can get it new for over 270 bucks now on amazon - which is crazy. You get the "best" RTX 3050 (8GB) for that kinda money with like 5 times the performance.

Back then it was a good card. In fact the first that allowed me to max out the settings of GTA 5 and still run the game at solid FPS with accetable frametimes. But for today it's rather bad.

DLSS will irk out a few frames for Cyberpunk, and when LossLess Scaling is used too, it might even go over 70 fps with low to medium settings for acceptable game performance (you can push it over 120 fps with x4 frame generation, but the distortions as well as the frametimes are unacceptable at that setting; you pay with frametime and distortions with Lossless Scaling's frame generation). While Lossless Scaling is basically a lifesaver for every gamer with old or otherwise inadequate hardware for modern games, it has its limits, and the 1050 Ti reaches those limits very quickly in modern games like Cyberpunk. Also: For Lossless Scaling's frame generation to work at minimum quality, you have to get to 30 fps natively at least before you should push it to 60 fps with x2 frame generation. The distortions will be aweful and the frametimes madening, but you "can" play the game that way. Every framerate that is below 30 fps is not advisable to use with LS frame generation.
