NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Review - After 8 Years is it any good?

In 2016, Nvidia released the GeForce GTX 10 50 T i, which included 7 6 8 CUDA cores, a base clock speed of 1290 Megahertz, and 4 gigabytes of GDDR5 memory. With a TDP of 75 watts, it is a relatively low power-consumption graphics card. In terms of gaming performance, it is capable of running the most recent games at 1080p resolution and medium to high graphics settings. It may, however, struggle with demanding games that require a higher-end graphics card. In terms of benchmark scores, it has a 3D Mark Time Spy score of roughly 6,000, which is lower than more current graphics cards, such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which has a score of around 16,000. The GTX 1050 Ti is based on the same GP 107 processor as the GTX 1050, however it is configured differently. The 10 50 has fewer CUDA cores, but they run at a faster clock speed. The 10 50 is likewise limited to 2 gigabytes of RAM. The 1050 T i has a maximum thermal design power of 75 watts; there's no room for more because the card draws power from the PSU via a P C I E power socket. In almost every currently available game, it achieves 60 frames per second at good or better quality at 10 80 p.

Of course, overclocking is feasible, and with the EVGA Precision X 16, I was able to add another 150 megahertz to the core speeds, while the GDDR5 proved capable of plus 350 megahertz and more. When combined with enhanced power and thermal targets, as well as greater fan speeds, the GTX 1050 T i's performance rose by around 10%.

Nice to see a video about this gpu! I'm still using the GTX 1050Ti. I've had it for about 3-4 years, it replaced my GTX 670. I've no complaints with the 1050Ti, it has served me quite well, and still does right up until this day. Got a new build on the go with an RTX 3070Ti, so not long and that 1050 will finally become redundant lol

Im still rocking a damn GTX 950 I got back in 2016 playing new titles with no complaints! The performance margin between the 1050 is almost identical. Cant emphasize enough how nice it feels to get over 5 years of quality use with acceptable performance from my rig. Its really how it should always be.

I've had this card for 7 years or so now and its the best card I've ever owned. It's been able to handle any game ive thrown at it while being the most reliable gpu I've ever owned. Will be replacing it with the rtx 4090 this month.

I initially bought an RX580, but the fan failed. So I had to return it. Got a 1050Ti instead. Now - in 2024 I am starting to look for an upgrade. Its THAT good. If you only want basic, no ribbons - the 1050Ti is OK - (the 1060 has an extra mode, but... pfff) But i will say my 1050Ti does fine on modern games.... I have to mess about with settings - usually shadows and textures.... but you don't really notice. BUT.... always a "but", eh? Time for a new card. B450 mobo (a good one) 5600X, 32GBDDR4, 2TB Nvme.... Gfx suggestions? And yes money is a problem, co I'm.. yknow... eating.
