An excellent idea. I can see many useful applications for that method both temporary and permanent. Thanks for the video Dave.

It seems simple enough, but if you think about it, a fence opens up all kinds of possibilities... as does little alarms and traps set out on your camp perimeter. Good stuff!

Awesome! I never seen a fence like that before. I've mostly seen waddle fencing done with willow. Love the channel!

great video Dave! 👍 I really like that concept. It gives me a great idea for vermin barrier to hang some soda cans with marbles inside.

I would also consider weaving saplings in between each vertical post to add more cross beams without sacrificing more cordage. This would make the fence more secure to keep wildlife in or out.

10* Great option.

It has some of my own designed double paracord (with inherent inside loops) making a looped ridgeline. Just toggle (no tying) between trees. Can also be woven through a (fish) netting and having a solid net hammock hung from two pairs of solid double paracord. Just insert staves into the paracord loop (no windlass), and the fence is all done (except for pounding staves into the ground).
