Camden is a crazy place and a lot of fun. It needs to be protected and better maintained as a place though, while Still keeping the same energy and history.

This looks like a sweet documentary, and I look forward to watching it. Though have I to say, while there is no doubt Camden is steeped in music and cultural history, as somebody who lives there, it is sad to feel like the Camden they are talking about is no longer there.

Record shops? there's now only two left, and the venues haven't seen much better odds. Admittedly, there have been some positive changes in recent years, like the reopening of Koko, but Camden has a long way to go before it is restored to its formal glory.

Hopefully this documentary helps with that, but anyone that lives here or knows it well will tell you that a good place to start would be getting rid of all the chain stores, because nothing says punk rock like a Starbucks skinny mocha latte, Wendy's or putting a Sports Direct in the middle of the once iconic Stables Market.

Make Camden affordable again to independent traders, designers, record shops, etc, and maybe, just maybe we can bring some creativity back to Camden and make it the once great place that is depicted here 🧡

I saw one preview with Noel and he was saying he's never had a single lesson, I can relate, back in school I wanted a lesson but they were a fiver per time, I worked at the tuck shop and saved as best I could to pay up front for the term, but when I turned up on the first day I hadn't earned enough, I hadn't paid up so they took my first guitar as part payment but I couldn't start my learning until I'd paid in full, so I haven't had a lesson either Noel and I actually owe the fee for 7 lessons still! So I learnt myself with instinct, gut and common sense. My brother also helped a lot to get me there. Anyway thanks!

My home 🥺 How I miss it.
My Camden Town was the Full Tilt Electric Ballroom Goth/Metal scene of the 90s. Back in those days, their was a Rock Club nearly every night of the week in Central London.
The scene is now dead 💀 Gone, but not forgotten

Kudos to Dua to produce this documentary to help preserve a piece of history. In the 80s-90s there was several areas around the world where it was all happening. I sowed my oats in the South Florida scene for two decades. Sadly, nothing has been preserved. Thanks to the digital age and developpers.

I was interested in watching this when I read the description. But I kept seeing Dua Lipa posters everywhere and it kinda bummed me out. No shade to her but she's not the poster child for Camden in my head. This trailer kinda restored my faith (and I get that DL's face is all over cuz she's an EP too).

I've had such fun times in Camden! I'd start getting tipsy at The Hawley Arms and end up at Underworld! (trying to rock away the night). I drove past recently and the vibe turned a little too gentrified with the new development by the lock! I doubt the (real-deal) craftspeople can offer rents nowadays. I even got my first piercing in Camden!
