2014 Silverado 1500 torque converter?????

Need help I was tald it could be torque converter.

Same thing is happening to my 2017 Sierra. Did yours feel like your engine was mis firing or feel like you were getting kicked from behind?

Mines in the shop now. New transmission, torque converter, pump. Total $6, 850. I had truck start what yours is doing about 2 weeks ago and it went down completely saturday

My 2018 did that at around 6k and i took it in 2x and dealer said it was normal. I knew it wasnt so i drove the hell out of it, at 13k the torque converter went bad and took the tranny with it.

6l80 transmission torque converters are known to fail and destroy the transmission. My best friend owns a transmission shop and they are doing at least 3 of these a week! I have a 2017 Silverado with 48k. I am not having problems yet but I just ordered a better torque converter from Circle D and replacing mine before it destroys my transmission, being proactive.

Mine did this for a long time when downshifting merging into traffic. I read somewhere that it could be a squeaking sound from the flapper valve in the exhaust just after the muffler - its a spring-loaded dummy valve that opens under acceleration. This has been happening to me for years, but coincidentally my torque converter just failed and destroyed my transmission in the process (105k miles).
