This video is about the distinction between Home Health and Home Care, which go by various names and are often confused.

I’m Dr. Marc, a board certified internist and geriatrician in Louisville, Kentucky. I’m asked so many questions about memory, dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease all the time by friends, co-workers, family and sometimes strangers when they find out what I do for a living. How dementia is diagnosed, treated, how it can be avoided or delayed, how to care for a loved one who has memory issues, what new technologies can help, and many more. Thanks for watching, for subscribing, and for caring about dementia and those who endure it every day.

Tried Home Health, not very good: No Shows for appointments, few agents were great, but most of them were not every good nor lacked skills. One agent even call my mom dying bitch, very little on educating family, plus they lost their license to issue shots/ IV. Also heard Hospice is not very good and demand that patient terminate the Drs and use their in house Drs. Bottom line, USA has very poor quality of care for seniors and ill, we should be ashamed of ourselves in USA. All staffers refused to use Hoyst which was brand new. Feel patient would be better off, if they used medical assistant suicide/rite to life, then go thru the agony, these agencies create for ill. Senior care and Centenarians have little hope in USA, unless they have a Pri Ins for senior care which is expensive or used by privileged Union employees.
