Damn that Māori team had Piri Weepu, Carlos Spencer, Rico Gear, Luke McAlister, Carl Hayman, Ross Filipo, Rua Tipoki, Leon McDonald, Jono Gibs and Caleb Ralf damn probably one of the best teams they ever fielded

Although this game was played 16 years ago, I can understand why Steve Walsh defected to Australia!
His refereeing was substand, and not up to international standard.

But the Maoris had much better brains and tactics they were the better technical team. The Lions ughh they weren't smart enough and they weren't aggressive enough...

What an inconsistent referee Steve Walsh is. He cannot referee matches of this status. He left many players both sides confused with his bizarre nd strange decisions esp at the rucks nd hs neglect for high nd dangerous tackling offenses.
