Thank You🙏🏻. Great info. I use Levender, Mint, Lemon essntl. oil. Wondering if ‘plant-based’ Candles are safe/healthy. Or ‘any’ candles at all…🤔 (or they just kill the Oxygen in the air?!?)

We use basil:
•removes itch!! from mosquito bites
• a few drops on paper towel & rubbed on outside furniture keeps bees away about 30 min.
•apply on clothing, skin to prevent mosquito bites

Great information! I was using a homemade deodorant made with essential oils but noticed when I went carnivore that I didn’t smell anymore and therefore didn’t need deodorant. I have a bug spray that I use made with essential oils but only apply once. I like to use the diffuser but my husband hates the smells because we got rid of all chemicals in our home years ago and definitely don’t use anything scented.

This is great thank you! I mostly use peppermint oil to help with headaches or sore muscles. I'm also a big fan of geranium because it can help prevent ticks and fleas. I think in moderation for all oils for sure. Have you heard much about the negative effects for using peppermint, geranium or even a rose oil?

With horses, Chemical fly Sprays are just the norm. After losing two horses to cancer I revamped their whole lifestyle and eliminated commercial fly spay. Unfortunately one of my horses is attractive to bugs (I'm sure it's related to to his previous insulin resistance!) I make my own fly spray for them with EOs but given that they are so volatile I make a paste with coconut oil and apply to certain bug prone areas. It has really helped. I also make a spray with fractionated coconut oil, apple cider vinegar and oils like eucalyptus, peppermint, or tea tree.

My 'essential' essential oil is lavender, which I always have with me. Applied neat (1 drop), it deals with bug stings almost instantly (soothes the itch and lessens the bump). I also use essential oils for cleaning, laundry and in diffusers. I totally agree with Dr Jaime that essential oils need to be used respectfully.

Nutrition with Judy has an interview about EOs. That where I learned lavender is an endocrine disrupter. Does it matter for me post menapause but on arymidex?

That is so interesting! As a pharmacist I learned that lavender and tea tree and the only ess.oils safe for little kids... I use Mantra blends in my diffuser almost every day and I apply lavender directly on my skin when I have any skin issues.

Great information. In the past I had been using essential oils regularly; orally, topically and aromatherapy. After using for a period of time I developed contact dermatitis and now I immediately react with a rash if it is present in a lotion. I wish I knew this information before 😆

Essential oils contain harmful VOCs. Avoid inhalation if you value your health.
