EMERGENCY WELDING REPAIR // MOBILE RIG WELDING OKLAHOMA
Many clients will call with emergencies but luckily this call was for the following morning. I’m Austin Ross a rig welder and pipeline welder and on this channel I enjoy helping other through my experience and being a part of the welding/pipeline community. I started about early on with my own mobile welding business and pick it back up when I’m home off the pipeline. A welding rig is a welding rig and I might as well be putting my mobile welding rig to work. Today’s project is a farm implement repair. Farm welding is common for me when I’m home in Oklahoma. Farm welding projects and farm welding repair come up with my brother-in-law on their family farm as well as neightbors when have other farm and ranch welding jobs. Welding farm equipment is a fun distraction from the more regular jobs like welding pipe fence. Subscribe and stick around. Make sure to introduce yourself in the comments below!

"It'll hold 'till it breaks." haha! Thanks for letting us come along with you. I've never seen a mobile welding truck in action. I do recreational stick on an old buzz box with 6013 3/32, and I do enjoy it.

I used to do a lot of work like this. It was always a fun challenge fixing junk with what you have on the truck.

I’ve seen this video before but watching it again. Austin getting out the truck looking fresh and fly, so much so I’m pretty sure that new ariat shirt and pants 👖 could stand up like a person standing, skip hanging up your clothes them things so crispy the could just stand it up in your closet like a manican 😂

I'm currently training to become a welder and discovered this channel yesterday. The format is great and you have a very likeable personality! I realize that this is a vlog series rather than a tutorial style one, but man I wish you had included some closeups of the finished repair job and maybe some commentary describing what you were doing. :)

I had a similar project like that years ago. A non farmer was driving the tractor, discing a field. He got too close to some trees and hung the 25’ disc on a tree. Completely ripped the tow bar out and messed up several gang hangars. I went out early one morning when it was extremely foggy. It took me an hour just to find all the pieces from the field! Haha. I finally got all of the pieces collected and spent 2 days welding it all back together. Legend has it that they are still using that disc. Fun stuff.

Union carpenter here, love your videos, carpenters union has an out of work book we can sign up on at the district council, but we are also allowed to seek our own work, which is the best of both worlds. I personally have never signed the out of work list in 30+ years, always looked and found work on my own, the main reason for that is like you said in another video, I am well diversified, not bragging at all, but I have experience in all areas of union carpenter work. I am also willing to do anything, even bridge work, which I hate.

With as much as you point at that "secret box" I wonder how many other people know its originally for 40mm grenades lol

I've been doing this kind of work for 20 years. Love it. I do keep a ton of steel in my service truck. I fix gates for a couple dairys.

That didn't look heavy enough. Lol.

Any job that takes you away from home and family is hard on marriage. But, you’ve got to do what you’ve got to do. If it makes good money, and supports your family then that’s what you do.
