Kevin Knuth a Full Professor in the Department of Physics at the University at Albany. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Entropy (MDPI), and a former NASA research
scientist having worked at NASA Ames Research Center in the Intelligent Systems Division. He has 30 years of experience in applying Bayesian and maximum entropy methods to the design of artificial intelligence algorithms for data analysis applied to the physical sciences. His current research interests include the foundations of physics, inference and inquiry, autonomous robotics, the search for and characterization of extrasolar planets, and the scientific study of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed publications and has been invited to give over 100 presentations in 18 countries.

Wow, how did you get in so tight with all these cool people Matt? After half a century of watching all this unfold (closely), I never thought we would be here. Heck I wasn't sure I wasn't just being crazy my self. Other people thought I was obsessed with UFOs back in the '70s, and they were right.

Watched this live and then watched again, later in the day. Excellent intro for Sol Foundation and always enjoy Dr. Knuth. Finally, credible academics are taking the lead on an issue that I hope can influence humanity for the better.

I love the part where Knuth talks about time dilation. You can imagine a small group of explorers coming to earth thousands of years ago and then going back to their home, for them it would be months or maybe a year, for us eons would have passed.

Can’t help but imagine them finding us and desperately giving us advice to keep us alive until they return. Like, humans, go ahead and multiply but please don’t kill each other while we’re gone.
