Amazing - never realised how beautiful Scarlatti's compositions sounded on the instrument they were designed for

There are those who question M. Rondeau’s interpretations. The young man is on fire, and so long as he burns, he belongs to life. Play on.

Great version of this piece. Also, I think it's kind of magnificent that he is a musician and his last name is rondeau.

Some may say : "baroque music is too old and makes me fall asleep" ... Jean Rondeau wakes your soul up and actually plays the most modern music that can be played today ... sounds like the end of this world and the birth of a new one ... ♥

Отлично! Потрясающе! Я думал, что после Ванды навряд ли кто-то сможет так передать энергетику Скарлатти. Благодарю!!!

Fabulous! For several years in the early 1970s, I shared a house in Venice California and my housemate would practice on a full throated German harpsichord borrowed from a friend ( I think it Was a Wittmeyer ) and I was first introduced to Domenico Scarlatti, Padre Antonio Soler and others. What a marvelous introduction to Baroque. I hope my friend reads this as I know he probably still listens and perhaps plays this music.

Die beste Kombination der höchsten Technik und der angeborenen Musikalität. Echt genialer Cembalist!

Some of the best playing I've seen on any instrument in awhile. I love the pauses, just building up that energy and then exploding on the keys!

I swear this gets better every time I hear it. I can almost see the smoke pouring out from the jacks and hear their screams as they try to flee this ferocious onslaught. Maestro Rondeau drags every ounce of passion and tension from this work. The pauses are fantastically dramatic.

La versión de Jean Rondeau es fantástica.

This sonata is really great... I recognise the Spanish folk music in it... and the execution of Jean Rondeau is fantastic.

I have tried to buy this version in iTunes Store, and have not found it. Pity.

De Madrid, félicitations pour votre excellent travail, monsieur Rondeau

Holy smoke! Fabulous performance! Seemingly effortless and sublimely perfect. I think Scarlatti himself would be impressed. What I wouldn't give to be able to play like that... Genius.

One underrated genius of a composer : Scarlatti, writes brilliant harpsichord music here interpreted with skill and eloquence by Jean Rondeau! Here this great Baroque piece shines on its original instrument. What's not to LOVE here? If Mssr Rondeau plays this exquisitely in his 20's imagine what he'll be able to do in his 40's?

Excellently played and excitingly energizing. I've always loved the harpsichord thanks to an early album I had with Kenneth Gilbert.
