Instead of using the traditional sustain pedal with a tremolo technique I used the 4th harmonic pedal invented by Denis de La Rochefordière. This new pedal allows controllable sympathetic resonance - even when playing staccato - which helps colour keyboard music written for harpsichord when played on the modern piano.

Performance tempo depends, in part, on the repetition responsiveness of your piano action. The new FEURICH pianos have super-fast repetition, if you have the opportunity to test a recent model I recommend you do so.

Wow Paul! You are quite the magnificent pianist!!! Your variations are excellent and the use of that 4th harmonic pedal gives it such a beautifully controlled sound. Also, that Feurich piano is amazing with it's ability for repetition....something that is lacking on my Roland big time. My fingers won't be moving this fast anytime soon, but so many times in my own play that I try to do fast repetition and my electronic stage piano just can't pick it all up....misses notes at times. Hello Mr. Barton. I am in love with your passion to music and nature. You give me enough motivation to play the piano, no matter how tired and joyless I am. First of all, I would like to thank you for your uploads.
I also have a question for you: I know that you are allowing us to download your MP3s from Google Drive. Would you mind putting them all in a folder so we can all enjoy them all at once?
