Aging is a part of human experience so I’m glad you pointed that out. A similar film could gender swap the main for an aging athlete, and no doubt that type of performance would be crazy

I dunno, I've seen a bunch of French horror, but the social commentary on this was so on the nose, I was hoping for a more mind opening conclusion. Or I missed it. (Which is possible) Felt like it just wanted to do body horror for the sake of it. So much of the logic in the movie was also forced. I get its fictional, but a bit of groundedness helps things land better for me.

I agree it's definitely not for everyone. The last 20 mins almost took me out of it, and then it all came together at the end. I was surprised by how entertained it kept me and held my interest to see what was going to happen next. I feel like I need to rewatch it to see if my opinion changes about that ridiculous climax.

I was last night in cinema in Poland. One young man fainted. People were shocked. This film should have warnings for being so shocking : a lot of blood, wounds, ripped body, sewing body with big needle. Definitely not 🚫 for everyone.

Will never understand the people saying it was a perfect length, a lot of act 2 was meandering but act 3 was such a strong punch to the senses .
