Yellow Mongoose vs Meerkat. Part 1/2

A scene from the documentary Meerkat Manor: The Next Generation. A yellow mongoose is evicted from its home by a young male meerkat. Occasionally these two species co-exist, but when meerkat pups are present, adult individuals will not tolerate a yellow mongoose, for the golden-coloured cousin has been known to eat very young meerkat babies.

However, this male meerkat, "Murray", simply wanted to prove to his family that he has what it takes to be a strong, fighting male.

I hate it when people keep calling a mongoose a meerkat. When I mention it in a crowd, 9 out of 10 go: "No... that is a meerkat." It is not(!), but I digress.
