An Indigenous craft maker wanted help to make 200 mittens to keep people warm this winter
Dressing warm in our city over the winter is essential.
And good quality winter gear isn’t cheap.
Thats why, an Indigenous leather artisan in Winnipeg started a project called "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts."
She, along with over 50 volunteers, have been making handmade mitts to give out to cold hands.
CBC's Janell Henry met the artist and some volunteers and files this report.
