I've got an 11 year old Toro Power Max HD 1128OXE that has been an absolute work horse. The only issue I've ever had with it is to replace the seals on the sides of the auger gearbox. One of them started seeping 2 years ago so I replace both sides. It gets an annual oil change each year @ the end of the winter season, has always had Shell 91 octane fuel with an ounce of Sea Foam per gal. added, and always fires up on the first pull, even after sitting for 7-8 months during the off seasons. I have a good friend who has borrowed it twice over the past 4 years when his new Cub Cadet 3 stage was in the shop getting worked on. He told me my Toro is quicker, easier to handle, cuts through the crap at the end of the driveway twice as well & never slugs the chute. He also says the Toro throws snow half again farther, and as he said, most importantly isn't broken down when you need it. He was actually talking about trading his CC in for a new Toro after using mine the last time. Toro, Honda, and Ariens are the only 3 brands I will ever consider.

Well the Honda snow blower caught my eye maybe because of the tracks

So on the Cub 2X you had a Cub 3X for most of the video.

No real testing, just some reading of advert brochure. Maybe do some real testing. Honda are expensive. Cub, Toro and whatever crap Powersmart brand is use Chinese engines and most likely MTD based. Ariens is the last holdout to not become Black and Decker. All choke on heavy wet snow. So brand loyalty are a thing of the past.

My parents have a 3 stage cub cadet that sucks in heavy wet snow. My toro max will throw anything put in front of it
