I just realized why Rex was staring at his helmet when they were waiting for Wrecker to recover. It's not his original helmet. He probably left his helmet at the crash site at the end of Clone Wars. It's probably why the Empire thinks he's dead.

After not hearing The Clone’s theme for so long in this show, it was beautiful and emotional seeing it return with Rex. Rex meeting his little sister and Omega’s theme and Clone’s theme intertwine 💖🥲
