We’re getting close to a year of living with Covid-19, but work is still ongoing to understand the mechanisms behind some of its most devastating effects. A lot of attention has been given to Cytokine Storms in this realm, but with some conflicting evidence there, Bradykinin Storms are starting to share some of the spotlight.

Excess of the inflammatory molecule bradykinin may explain the fluid build-up in the lungs of patients with coronavirus infections.

The steroid is not going to give them big muscles it is just bringing them closer to normal. If you give a burn patient anabolic steroids they don't get bigger muscles it just makes them less likely to die.

I don't understand why the drug companies don't develop a steroid with a 300%-500% anabolic rating and a slightly negative androgenic rating that can't be metabolised to estrogen. It could be used for lots of this bone loss, burns, etc.

Yay! I also suggested this as a topic. I take Humira and was curious about correlation with cytokine storms and suppression of other immune cells. I saw trials done related to my condition (Crohn's)/IBD in general and people taking my type of medication. There didn't seem to be much difference of outcomes between the general population and those already on the immunosuppressant I'm on. You say that probably Citokine Storm isn't responsible for COVID-19 severity. That's new fact for me, and I will read more about this. But I have two questions and I'll be grateful if you'll answer.
1. What are Citokine Storm criteria? When should one know this is Citokine Storm, but not normal immune response?
2. What do you think about Edaravone for COVID-19-treatment? Can it be possible candidate for prevention lethal complications and for treatment COVID-19?
