Friend of mine sent me this about a week ago. He had no idea but that day I hit rock bottom bad. I couldn’t keep tears out of my eyes at all. I have listened to this so far two days in a row and it’s changing my way of thinking. I didn’t realize what I was doing until I listened to this. It’s changing life one day at a time.

Most people I try to have a conversation with pretend to be listening when actually what they're doing is waiting for me to stop talking so they can talk about themselves.

I recently messed up royally by oversharing. I wanted to feel understood, that's a valid desire. But some things can not be understood by the person you think would, some things should probably only be told to a therapist, if at all.
If you have a certain emotional distance you can see what or when you went wrong, but in the heat of the

Well, if I don't repeat that mistake the next time around it shall all have been worth it. I just hope to actually learn from this...

I learned the importance of most of these virtues the hard way. Some still require more practice, but I'm a much happier person now than when I was a kid.

Thank you, well received.
When younger, I was reminded that "a still tongue keepeth a wise head", and, "everything in moderation, including moderation". Peace to all

I don't always learn my lessons, but when I do it's the hard way.

Social media platforms were never for me. I was 20 when social media kicked off and I said back then that I'd be old and grumpy. Well, I'm not grumpy lol I'm just upset that so many ppl today are lost inside social media. I'm glad I only watch YouTube and learn, constantly learn. Never stop. I've always been a private person and not one to share what I've eaten today or how I'm dressed going to Walmart 🙄 the fact that ppl need constant recognition on a daily basis for doing the most pedestrian tasks is discouraging for the evolution of man, and woman today.

I like the " you have two ears and one mouth for a reason." It is a good habit to get into.

As some of us when we were once young we often hear from our parents this stoic truth ; Silence is golden... don't tell anyone your inner most thoughts.

I love these !! I worry about the future too much, and what helps me is looking down at my feet and floor, telling myself I am here and safe right now. ❤

Thank you so much for sharing this video, there are no words to describe what and how I am feeling now! I am almost at my 40th birthday but I look deep inside and all I can say is that I am still at the start line of my journey life 😭 I was doing everything wrong 😢 but thanks God I am starting new this time, I know it will take time but I will get there one day!💪🏽

Listening = respect; you have 2 ears and one mouth for a reason; don't be too focused on the future--the key to happiness to cease worrying about things beyond our power--you cannot control others or things in the future. Concentrate on the here and now. By doing our best in the now. Embrace and accept what we cannot control and embrace & express gratitude and the kindness of others. Focus on solutions. Enhance relationships.

I am guilty of all of these. Most I am aware if, but doing them is very difficult. Excellent video.

Stoic Wisdom is the bedrock of every religion if you look for it ... even the Bible 0:16 "Will all your worry add one cubit to your stature?" 0:54 "Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them." 2:23 "Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips" 4:33 "For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags." 7:35 "Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger" etc. etc.
