I still to this day don’t understand why people call Meg ugly when she's literally a mini version of Lois. Same hairstyle, same face shape. The only difference is that her hair is brown like her father's instead of orange like her mother's. Other than that, I don't see a problem with her looks or appearance. I feel like the Griffins pick on her because Meg stands out and has more potential than any of them.

The fact that even Meg's voice actress, Mila Kunis, has said before, "Please, just give Meg something, " which led to that one makeover episode with her, speaks volumes. Meg really deserves something in this show other than being the punching bag or being used to set up weird/creepy jokes or plots with her love interests or whatever the writers want to include in an episode. Heck, Lydia said it best: give her someone her own age. Or better yet, have Meg be the first character to move out of the Griffin household. She left high school and went to college over the course of the show, so it's not impossible.

I do have to say I always loved how kind Joe was to Meg when he rejected her. He wasn’t judgemental at all and treated her better than her own parents which is just heartbreaking

I love how when Brian and Joe told Lois about Meg’s crush on them she slaps Brian and laughs at Joe but when it was with quagmire she treats as perfectly normal and is okay with it lol

My favorite love interest for meg was Jeff. I wish him and his family didn't dissappear. I liked how peter and Lois, while at first didn't accept that they were nudists, had Jeff over for game night while nude themselves as a way of making him feel more comfortable.

Since we've been getting more solid Meg episodes where she isn't such a pushover, I honestly wish they could give her a solid boyfriend that sticks around. Sort of like how Roberta had Federline or how Hailey has Jeff— I always really liked their plots.

I wish you'd mentioned that the boyfriend she hallucinated, was not just 'because she was so lonely', but also due to the mustard that caused her to hallucinate! It's disingenuous to her. She was eating tainted, hallucinogenic mustard, not just being sad and lonely.

It might have been neat that after going to jail herself and coming out a thug, it's actually Luke who brings her back to normality.
Her jail time coincidentally ended around the same time his did. And he knows what it's like on the inside and how it can change a person, but maybe having Meg visit him was what helped his rehabilitation.
