Brilliant video! I have no access to the other side of my fence which has a broken at ground level 4x4 from the alcoholic drug dealer neighbors driving their car into the fence when high. (which is all the time) I was sweating out how to fix it without getting attacked if I stepped on their side. This solves my problem completely! Thanks for a great video and your narration was great also. No constant "go ahead and, go ahead and, go ahead and... or "uuuhhh, uhhhh, uhhhh, uhhh's. Thanks again!

I will do this but with a metal post. It'll already be there when it comes time to replace the fence. Thank you for your insight. Very helpful!

Thanks for the tips, I have at least 2 to replace before winter gets here.

So now that the replaced post is embedded in concrete whose top is still below ground level it will start to rot all over again. It may last a few years but the top of the concrete should be above ground level.

Yeah.... we called a fencing company and it was cheaper for us to let them take care of it than for us to do it. We have a lot going on with our fence and a lot of it.

Could used a spiral anchor to screw the in wood, then pull it out with a lever

That fence is barely worth fixing. The problem I've had is once I dug the fence post up and the concrete, then I had a giant hole. I dug two posts out today that were busted in the ground. I have huge shrubs to work around and the ground is at an angle. Behind the fence the dirt was backing up. It's hard to know just what the hole depth is since there is no grass along the fence. I feel like a fool. It's hard to rebuild a fence by yourself with the neighbor's checking out your progress from day to day. I have FOUR days to get this wrapped up and it's back to work on Monday. I have to stop staying up all night watching movies. It just gets dark to early.

Hahahahaha well done well done hahahahahaha

You should post a new vid when you put up a new fence.

When you rebuild that fence I would just tear out the Old Post leave the concrete there, dig a new hole next to it, and then continue to tear down the next panel, set every new panel and post every 8 ft. apart. I was able to remove and replace two panels a day at my own leisure.

This is just the info I've been looking for ~ Thanks! I have to get an auger drill bit, what size did you use? I found a 3" x 16.5" auger bit for $24 but I'm not sure if that's deep enough but it would at least save me from shoveling out the whole area around the post. Somebody else commented on pouring the concrete above the ground line but then I'd worry about hitting it with the lawnmower every time I mowed around it. Do you have any suggestions that would prevent that? Thanks again.

Backfill with pea gravel you do not need concrete. It won't move!

The easy way assumes one ALREADY has the tools needed including a sawzall and a power drill to complete the work.

Where did you get that $15 auger attachment for the drill that’s genius I need to go to my moms house and pull her post out tomorrow??

Can this be done with gravel or sand instead of concrete?

Should I use 3/4" rock instead of concrete? Somebody once told me rock is better because it allows the water to drain, whereas the concrete allows water to seep into the wood but then doesn't allow it to drain.

Wonder if Post Buddy would have been a viable option

You could of wrapped a come along around the concrete stump attach to a metal post and crank that sucker
