FIX Your Device is Missing Important Security and Quality Fixes In Windows 10 [Tutorial]

Thanks to Microsoft, Windows 10 users get updates on a regular basis. However, some users are seeing an error message on their update page. The error message says “Your device is missing important security and quality fixes”. Usually, this type of error message will prove to be a very useful reminder to install important updates but the issue here is that users are seeing this message even after installing all the updates. In tutorial, you will keep seeing an error message telling you to install important updates even if there aren’t any updates available to install.

On a Windows 10 based computer, the following warning message is displayed in Update and Security center: "We couldn't connect to the update service. Your device is at risk because it's out of date and missing important security and quality updates. Let’s get you back on track so Windows can run more securely."

Telemetry Level: There is an option in Windows Group Policy Editor that allows you to control the levels of the Telemetry. It just so happens that some Windows Updates (especially the cumulative updates) won’t be delivered to your system if your Telemetry level is set to Security only.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops,and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).

I had my updates page open as I was following the tutorial. As soon as I clicked "OK" on that last window of this tutorial, I could see my updates finally installing. Thanks!

Thanks. It solved my problem after I restarted, went back to the Microsoft site to download and install the update again, and it installed without any issues.

For me it says: 'This app has been blocked for your protection'
'An administrator has blocked you from running this app. For more information, contact the administrator.'
But I am administrator on my computer. Have any idea how I can fix this?
