Huge Unanswered Questions In The Simpsons

The Simpsons has been on the air for three decades, and there are plenty of questions that the show has raised over the years, even though it’s not really the kind of show people watch for continuity. Plenty of characters have come and gone without explanation, and some truly evil characters seem to have gotten away scot-free, but it’s not like dangling plot threads are going to lose the show fans, especially at this point. That said, we’re still wondering about Marge’s inconsistent fear of flying and why Barney is a drinker once again. Let’s take a look at some huge unanswered questions in The Simpsons.

the reason why there are so many questions is because most episodes don’t relate to the previous ones

They answered what happened to the monorail. The city let it rust until they transformed its rails into a park, then accidentally setting off the MR again

I think Moe knows it's Bart, he's met him hundreds of times, he's just lonely and he secretly likes someone frequently talking to him, even if it's to make a joke out of him. Moe's clearly depressed, it's almost like a self-deprecating sense of humour. He gets it's a prank, but he's willing to have people laughing at him.

The monarail episode was answered when in the episode when Marge becomes mayor the old monarail track is used as an old path and the monarail accidentally runs again destroying the paht

There was an answer for why Barney started drinking again. At the end of an episode when Barney orders a latte, he turns away just as Moe spiked it with beer.

Mo once spoke to Bart as Bart turned up at the bar (I cant remember why) but Mo kind of recognised the voice but then just assumed he recognised it because he was Homer's son. Guess it was part of the joke. Mt question is what happened to Smithers he was black in season 1 and then got a colour change in season 2 lol
