Painters tape under contac paper sounds great! I’m going to try that. (Don’t get DT painters tape, btw.)

I gotta give people credit that can actually use contact/peel/stick paper on their countertops - don't think I could ever have that kind of patience

Painting the bathroom tile is hardly renter friendly. It’s not reversible

If you want to remove the contact paper use a hair dryer.
