We have a school called Blue Coat School in Harborne, Birmingham and it costs £3000 - 5000 a term. Its originally purpose was to educate poor children in the area. Now you have to have some wealth to send your kids there.

I went to the blue coat school in Gloucester, founded in 1666 by a merchant who made his fortune in the City of London. It is now operated as a state-funded grammar school, and still fulfils it's mission of providing top-notch education without parents having to pay.

I went to Blue Coat School in Coventry. Yes, we had Blue Coats and the other colour the girls wore was Yellow Blouses.

I went to Grey Coats Hospital School which has similar history to the blue coats schools. Fairly gruesome treatment of the children though
