"I dont believe thats the reason Ill die" is such a badass way to answer this question.

My dad passed from Cystic fibrosis when i was ten. He lived like this. Never let a day go by without doing something unless he had to be in hospital. I remember one day he said "Youre not doing school today, lets go for a drive." And we ended up at disneyland. He was my best friend as a kid and i miss him daily.

a friend of mine passed away from CF in high school. I'm sure she would have loved to know that people are becoming more aware of it and that it is slowly becoming less deadly. keep up the good work

I support a little girl with CF in school. Her nurse told me that treatments have improved so much, that they expect children born with CF today to live much longer lives, which made me so glad!

I do not know why, I love the way Dr. Mike ask her the question. And this guest, she is definitely a rare human breed. So powerful.

As someone with CF this is my perspective too. I've made it this far why would I let it kill me now. I know I can do hard things because I've been doing it my whole life.

My sister's best friend has CF, she is now 42. I don't think anyone thought she would have made it this long but progress in medicine has made this possible. I never hear her complain, stays positive and still tries so hard to achieve whatever goals she sets for herself- no matter how long it takes to get there.

Hearing this as a reapiratory therapist is actually very empowering. Most of these people are actually VERY limited to what they can because that is how debilitating CF can be. But seeing this woman accomplish so many things is both jaw dropping and amazing! The only way to really recover from CF is from a double lung transplant which in some cases can be a lot worse if the body rejects the new set of lungs. I hope she is still able to accomplish more things in the future and not let her CF bring her down!!!

She is a treasure. Listening to her beautiful spirit makes me feel embarrassed at how little I’ve done with my so far health-rich 55 years.

This is so wonderful seeing people with CF live longer, fuller lives. I went to high school with someone who died the year after graduation. He was a wonderful person and a great friend to those who knew him. He played football and basketball and no one knew he had CF until he started getting really sick towards the end…I suppose he didn’t want people to see him as different during a time when being different makes you stand out in a bad way. He must’ve felt isolated though, looking back, having to keep his secret for so long. I went to such an amazing school system—graduating class of 101–we went to preschool with the people we graduated with so we really were like a little family. No one bullied each other and everyone was friends. When he died, the community grieved deeply.

My Uncle has CF. He was born during a time where they had little info on the disease. He is almost 60, 2 kids, wife and successful electrician 💪🏻 you CAN do hard things!

Blessings to you ♡. We lost my cousin Anna to CF when she was 23. It was devadtating. About a year later, a medication was released that her brother is on. It was life-changing. He is alive and doing well. We only wish Anna had been able to access that. Best wishes for you for a long and happy life ♡♡.

Goodness, what a beautiful and inspiring person she is. She gives me such soulful encouragement as I face my own daily complex medical situation.

I have a regular with cf and struggles to walk because of it, but he still does and will go around picking up leaves to help the community in our small town which I can’t imagine how hard that is for him. He’s in his 80’s. This girl will make it
