Sometimes I 'backtrack' over the same portion of sidewalk four and five times and I never make it around the block- and that's okay. By the time we are done he is 'loose leash' and attentive to me.

I wish more than anything that I wasn’t so damn soft when my dog was younger. “Positive only” training tricked me into never really giving my dog a stern NO, and so everything was taking as a joke, it seems, for my dog. Of course, it’s largely my fault—I was so reluctant to anything but “positive”, and I realize now there needs to be more balance. Love this channel.

Earlier this year I adopted an 11 lb. poodle-schnauzer mix named Max and as he slowly "came out of his shell" over the next month he began displaying a lot of aggression towards other dogs. I was dreading the arrival of my wife who was returning from overseas with our Pin-Tzu as I knew that Max would do the "stare on a tight leash." But thanks to the techniques you demonstrated I was able to correct his behavior and in less than an hour he and the Pin-Tzu were best friends. So thanks very much for this.

We adopted a 5 year old dog aggressive male a few years ago, we were told not to let him near other dogs. Well thanks to you, we've gone from avoiding other dogs, to giving him a chance everytime. He's surprised us so much, sometimes he still goes to lunge and growl, so I correct him. Other times he just sniffs now! (Depends on the dog I think) But I'm always ready for a correction on a loose slip lead. It really make the world of difference, thank you so much.

It does change everything when your dog starts picking fights. I actually found this channel because of it.

I haven't taken my husky to the dog park in awhile because the last two times she started fights with other dogs but I have a plan and some ideas on how I can get her to stop acting like a maniac now.
