It was only to sell more cars. Elkan is the exact opposite of Enzo which should be turning on his grave.

Yes Ferrari has shot itself in the foot! Sainz is a great Racer and is younger. He is also a Team Player and Lulu is not. Offering Lulu a Ambassador Role is a joke. They really think Ferrari owners can relate to Lulu's style?
Maybe some Ball player and Rap Stars.

Please be careful of "information" shared as it can also ridicule your reputation. Who in Ferrari has admitted that signing Lewis was a mistake.? Can you judge Sainz VS Leclerc in 4 races...? Wouldn't want to see the end of championship before making assumptions? The question though is not leclerc vs Sainz, rather Sainz VS Lewis, and in my opinion there's no really no question of who's is better given the right machinery at the hands of both of these drivers.

John Elkann has always been clueless. Carlos has always been treated or rather mistreated with extreme bias. All you have to do is look at the salary difference between Charles and Carlos. Charles makes US$34 mil a year while Carlos only makes US$12 mil. Even Perez makes more than double of that of Carlos at US$26 mil a year. Even if you think Charles is a better driver than Carlos, are you saying he is close to 3 times better than Carlos? Basically, Carlos has shown he is a very competitive driver, be it when compared to Charles or on the F1 grid as a whole. Either way it is all irrelevant now since John Elkann decided it was a great idea to get rid of a fantastic driver for an aging ex-champion in decline and paying him US$100 mil a year. Hamilton is already being dominated by Russell as we speak. If we were talking about a 23 year old Hamilton, that would have been a different story. But no, Hamilton will be 40 by the time he arrives at the Scuderia. Is a complete shame. Just as Ferrari finally improves, they shoot themselves in the foot. Just typical and I am more than happy to admit it as a fresh ex-Tifosi as a result of this train wreck of a move having supported the Scuderia for well over 4 decades.
