He also owned a laundry...forgot to add that into it.

He actually lost money when you consider the amount of phones he snapped in half.

Al of this explained by Walter Jr. makes it just better.

Fring didn't use mules. He built a distribution system over 20 years.

Walter would have reached Gus' net worth by not leaving gray matter

Gus’s main goal in life was to get revenge on the cartel and destroy them and make Hector’s life a living hell. He didn’t seem to care about money nearly as much.

>Becomes a meth distributor
>eventually grows a empire
>makes 545 million dollars
>lives below his means, even below Los pollos Hermanos’ income
>doesn’t spend a single cent of the 500 million
>doesn’t elaborate

A true Sigma

I really wish that Los Pollos Hermanos actually existed. I'd be so down for some good fried chicken seasoned with Mexican spices.

“Let’s just say that Madrigal and Gus are 50/50 owners.”

Missed opportunity to put in a clip of Jesse screaming “50/50 partners”

Ive always had this question! I mean if Walt, the mere manufacturer made $80 million alone....

"Gus didnt have mules.. he didnt need them. He built this business slowly over the years"

Thing is tho, he could have had a nice house / car and lifestyle base on Los Pollos alone. Without drawing attention to his illegal activity’s.

Gus: has a massive fast food chain
Gus: lives well below his means
Also Gus: does meth mass distribution
Also Gus: keeps living below his means
Gus: my motives are beyond your understanding

I loved the quote from Mike telling Walt: "You could've shut your mouth, cooked and made as much money as you ever needed. It was perfect. But, no, you just had to blow it up. You and your pride and your ego!" It was really a smooth operation...Walt could have reinvested the laundered money into other businesses and create an empire through more legal means.

An individual like Gus Fring would of likely invested money in other legal ways as well, stocks, mutual funds etc etc. So the net worth would of been much more imo

4:37 This is where he lost me. Gus lived modestly because he was smart, and wanted to stay under the radar. This kept him from being a target of law enforcement organizations, and other criminals.

Walt describes Fring's meth organization "A company large enough to be listed on the NASDAQ"
To be listed on the NASDAQ, a company must have a minimum aggregate cash flow of at least $27.5 million for the past three fiscal years, with no negative cash flow in any of those three years.
Also, its average market capitalization over the prior 12 months must be at least $550 million, and revenues in the previous fiscal year must be $110 million, minimum.

I love most Breaking Bad characters, but Gus is just such an uniquely awesome character. He is like a human Swiss Army knife (every time I think there is no cool things left about him I find another).

I always wondered what’s the point of having all that money and never being able to spend it?

The saddest and most indelible aftermath of Gus or any of the main characters is that, with very few exceptions, even if one truly wants to 'get out' you can't get out. You think you can but you can't.
