Gus is really one of the best written and acted villains out there

Couldn't have picked a better Gus...he killed it in that role.

He has to be one of the best if not top 3 villains in a story coupled with his professional acting skills. Genius!😊

More proof that good writing and believable characters are what make great stories.

The calm demeanour was the most frightening thing about this character. Chilling

He really was nice to the people who did what he wanted. He got Walt to the lab as a favor to Gale. He allowed Walt to make up the quota the following week so he could be at the hospital with Hank. Then he did practically the same for Jesse when Jesse was waiting for Brock to recover. And especially with Jesse he did so with a soft and gentle nature. It’s like he wanted to treat everyone well and for everyone to be civilized. He wanted it so bad that when people didn’t, it infuriated him

"Handled his business like a business."

You could faintly hear Giancarlo slip back into Gus for a moment.

Mr. Esposito has been doing excellent work since the early 80’s in Taps, then later on in Spike Lee’s School Daze and Do the Right Thing! I’m always amazed when people react to him as a new actor, only citing his work on Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and the Mandalorian. He’s been doing masterful work for a very long time.

“It was the calm that I brought to my character” that is so spot on. That’s what made Gus so scary. He never made you feel for one second that he wasn’t in full control of a situation. The only times he ever cracked was showing his back story when the guys killed his partner and then right before he died when he realized Hecter was rigged to blow up

So glad Giancarlo got the role, I can't imagine it being the same with anyone else, in fact the entire casting for the show is superb, this is why it went on to be the behemoth it is/was,
Might go watch my box set again!

Glad to see the Breaking Bad crew recognize talent (like not killing Jesse, bringing back Mike and Gus, and etc.). Some more hard headed creators might have pushed through with their plans, but in BB's case, whenever they saw anything that would elevate the show, they sure went for it. Listening to their actors, using their strengths, and keeping the plot open enough to introduce new main characters.

One of the greatest characters ever created. Absolutely loved this character. One of the reasons "Breaking Bad" is one of the greatest shows ever.

He made Gus Fring one of the most memorable characters on TV.

The scenes of him at the hospital after the cousins attack Hank are amazing. Especially him subtly coaching Walter about how to act normal

This man is such a master class. He deserved at least one Emmy for his Gus performance.

He was brilliant the way he played both sides of that character.

The finger thing he did in that elevator scene really got me. I loved GE in Breaking Bad
