For the new farming system, you can use the one man band to "talk" to every plant in its radius. Pretty helpful for farming without wasting time

The ocuvigil can be put on a boat and sent off to map out the ocean if you haven’t found the island yet.

You forgot to mention that the ocuvigil also shows updates that occur in it's radius.
You can use it for things like toadstool by putting it near all the spawning points so that when it spawns you know where it is.
Still a very specific use, but the use is it's main feature as you can just use the moon rock used to make it to Mark a point on the map and not use the other materials it takes to make it.

I max out the mandrake spawns so I can have friends on solo mode. I'm weird, I know.

I think the Ocuvigil is for a few things, like showing people where the camp is immediately which can be useful in wilderness mode upon death, showing if a lure plant also spawns if you dont have carpet etc, and the funny use of putting it on a boat and sending it away. I agree though, they should increase the radius by 200%

5:17 I find the Ocuvigil to be of some use:
- Each time the map re-sets after an update you'll always know where to head for find the item you marked.
- It can be placed in your base so friends joining you can know where to head from when they arrive from the portal.

Yo beard, here's a use for ocuvigil: place it on a boat and now when you find an important place like the lunar island, everyone does. It also shows a WAY bigger area on the map that way so u can use it to outline the map for others

One very useful purpose I've found for the ocuvigil is opening up the map of the sea. Though I'm not entirely sure how you go about letting loose a boat to roam about but I thought that was neat.
