Jubilee Project: One Day Without Shoes 2011

On April 5, 2011, The Jubilee Project partnered with TOMS Shoes for their annual One Day Without Shoes. Joining hundreds of thousands of people around the world, The Jubilee Project and friends spent the day without shoes to help raise awareness for the millions of children who don't have shoes. They suffer from a risk of infection and disease called Podoconiosis, which is completely preventable simply by wearing shoes.

wow nice project.. here in Indonesia we're almost everyday playing on the outside without wearing any shoes or sandals and for me, I have been accustomed since childhood to play or walk around the neighborhood did not wear shoes / slippers and a lot of my friends also so even on campus as well..

My highschool did this! Except many people wore socks lol. We ended up collecting about 200 shoes... Great way to raise awareness.

I love toms shoes!!! They're seriously the best!-33 haha yeah my sister went to school without shoes and she convinced a lot of her friends to go without shoes too^^ haha.:D

More shoe companies should do charity events and give people shoes in areas where people can't afford shoes! Go toms! I mean even cheap flip flops from the dollar store would be better then nothing. I would do this but I prob. wouldn't be allowed to at school. :P
