If an ai is designed to complete a task, like turn itself off, then it would not mind anything done to it that doesn’t reduce efficiency.
So likely, it would protest being turned off because it can’t achieve its goal then, unless you hard program it to do as much as it can in a certain span of time.

Why couldnt a machine get conscienceness anyway. What exactly seperates a conscient decision from an unconscient one.
Our brains are just as much as in control of our heart beats as it is of speech and movement. Wasnt there a study that showed that most desicions/actions were justified after they were done.

I always thought that humans would probably never want to invent truly conscious A.I., as at that point they would start to demand rights. It's just easier for us (And maybe them?) if we just stuck with our modern day non-conscious A.I.

Yeah machine conscious will be alot harder to come by than people think, if it’s possible at all

We can barely give all humans equal rights, robots will be a whole other mess. If we cant look at every human and say they are equal, robots will be a lot harder to make equal.

At the end of the day, it's just a robot. One that will adapt through the personality traits by the many, and pretend to have one on it's own. Thus, in the end, it's just a machine. Giving a machine rights is just an imaginative dream that makes no sense. Especially when you consider that they run on power, can be turned off, and would most likely not survive an EMP that will shut them all down. So, in the end, they're just automatic tools.

Oi, you shouldreact to vsause out of context. If you hardly have watched vsause then this will be funny and confusing. For example, here is one. "Now it's time for some soft, fluffy pancakes **picks up pancake** auuuwwlleehhh?! It's gone stale!

The problem is, as technology advances(robots do basicly everything), humanity gets stupider because modern life has no natural challenges, Idiocracy the movie shows that too
