If you pay special attention, you'll notice that the OR logo produces heat and will keep you much warmer.
Few know that a Patagonia logo on a rain shell actually frightens condensation away.

Both logos will accomplish substantial weight savings in your wallet.

Bought this jacket last year after seeing your recommendation. Couldn’t be happier. Still going strong!

I love decathlon. We just bought a bunch of new camping stuff from them. Quilts, backpack, boots, pants, thermopants, Merino underwear, hiking poles, poncho, rain coat, light weight jacket, headlamp and a lot more. Let's say for the total cost of everything I could have bought just the quilts and the backpack in a distinguished outdoor shop... and the quality is awesome

Actually it is on sale at Walmart for $59.00. Just got one. Thanks Dan

Great wisdom. Keep bringing alternatives to us. My son and I both bought one for a hike this next weekend...

That jacket has been a well-known sleeper in the community for a few years. Just be sure to get the right size. The fit of this jacket is VERY SLIM - so size up especially if you're planning to layer.

Totally agree with this. Bought a Peter Storm down jacket for about £80 and it's been ideal for 6 years. A few patches of gorilla tape keep it going when it rips and I don't see it dying any time soon!

Well that 3k bison pelt is still looking mighty worth it, even if it isn't designer brand.

I picked up the grey version here in Australia. It was USD$72 and I'm so happy with it too bad it's summer down here but next winter in the UK it'll come into its own.

I got lucky and found it on sale for $59 and bought two of them during Black Friday. I also have the vest and it’s just as great as the jackets.

I hope when you talk about this product in the future you also mention that they have plus sizes. I am a plus hiker. Its hard for me to find hiking gear for my size. I found this through you but not because you mentioned they might have my size. Just out of curiosity to check out the product you mentioned. When I see hiking videos I don’t expect the brands to cater to my size. I did end up buying the Men’s 3x since the women’s stops at 2x and they say the size runs small. Im sure you have plus fans as well. I do like the jacket and am using it for my winter hiking. Love your vids.

I wore an M65 Field Jacket with liner and Artic hood along with appropriate middle and under layers and stayed comfortable while living in Montana for 12 years. My only winter clothing is still military surplus.

This! I have Decathlon micro fleeces that are probably 20 years old at this point, if not older, that were considered bargain rates at the time. They’re among the warmest fleeces I own, right alongside my crazy expensive merino wool ones, but cost a tiny fraction of the money.

Also, did I already mention I’ve been using them for literally decades? No holes or bust seams at all.

Nice, Dan. Spot on. I bought one of these last year and prefer it over my over priced similar spec Rab. The Decathlon jacket also folds away in to its left pocket from the inside.
